Position: Head of Taxation at Pune Office with Manufacturing company. Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA)/ Cost Accountant (CWA). Work Experience: 14+ years of experience in Indirect tax laws such as GST/Customs and tax management, preferably in the manufacturing industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. More focus on Indirect tax. In-depth knowledge of direct and indirect taxes, international tax regulations, transfer pricing, and corporate tax strategy. Tax Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement tax strategies in line with the company’s objectives and regulatory framework. Provide expert advice on tax implications for business operations, transactions, and strategic decisions. Lead tax planning for domestic and international operations, focusing on minimizing tax liabilities. · Tax Compliance: Ensure timely filing of all tax returns, including income tax, GST, VAT, customs, and other applicable taxes. Oversee the accuracy of tax-related financial reporting and disclosures. Monitor changes in tax legislation and ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations. Manage transfer pricing documentation and compliance. · Tax Audits & Assessments: Handle tax assessments, audits, and litigation. Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and tax authorities to resolve tax disputes and assessments. Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for tax-related matters to facilitate audits. · Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential tax risks and exposures. Work with cross-functional teams to implement processes that ensure tax compliance and minimize tax risks. · Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with tax authorities, consultants, and other external stakeholders. Collaborate with internal departments such as finance, legal, and supply chain to ensure tax-efficient business practices. Communicate tax-related matters to senior management and provide regular updates on the tax landscape. · Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, ensuring continuous learning and development. Allocate resources effectively to manage workloads and priorities within the tax department. · Tax Advisory: Advise on tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic business activities. Provide support to internal departments regarding tax-related matters, including contracts, transactions, and product pricing strategies. · Travelling: Travelling to various locations of the company for above purpose
